Laura Ceccarelli

Laura Ceccarelli brings a wealth of tennis and events experience to APG, having spent more than 30 years in and around tournaments across the globe.
She rose through the officiating ranks to become a Gold Badge Chair Umpire (the highest level of match officiating) and then Referee and Chief of Umpires, where she had the responsibility for recruitment, assignment and administration of officials at WTA and ATP events in several countries. She is one of the very few professional officials ever to have held three officiating Gold Badges at the same time.
Laura then spent 17 years at the WTA as Vice President and Supervisor where she was responsible for maintaining and improving tournament standards at all WTA events and worked closely with WTA Media for the establishment and implementation of the WTA Broadcasting agreement. She has also worked as Supervisor at all the Grand Slams. Additionally, she has worked closely with the ATP on behalf of the WTA at most of the major combined events including Miami, Indian Wells, Cincinnati, Rome, Madrid and Beijing. Laura has supervised and played an integral part in the successful delivery of 14 editions of the WTA Finals which were held in Los Angeles, Doha, Istanbul, Singapore and Shenzhen.
She joined APG in February 2020 as Chief Operating Officer and Co-Tournament Director of the Zhengzhou Open WTA Premier event. As part of the Executive Management Team, Laura leads the tennis operations division.
Laura earned a Masters degree in Economics and Business – specializing in International Marketing – from La Sapienza University of Rome before starting as a tennis official in her native Italy. She is fluent in Italian and English.
